For more than 30 years, Lance Heal has produced, launched, and operated live entertainment experiences for some of North America's most recognized theme parks.  He has built a career at the intersection of theatrical production, technical innovation, and large-scale entertainment.

Lance is a graduate of Indiana university Bloomington where he studied Stage Management and Technical Theatre.  He began his theme park career in 1995 at Cedar Point.  He would then go on to spend more than a decade leading the park's Entertainment Technical Production program. 

During that time, he launched hundreds of productions, special events, and guest experiences. He developed an expertise in technical production, project management, vendor partnerships, and institution building in one of the industry's premier entertainment operations.

Seeking to broaden his production experience, Lance returned to stage management.  He would go on to work on major shows and projects at Busch Gardens Tampa and Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios. While in Florida, he refined his leadership skills while supporting globally recognized entertainment brands and gained valuable experience in producing large-scale spectaculars and destination entertainment.

In 2014, Lance returned to the seasonal theme park industry, serving as Manager of Entertainment Valleyfair and later at Kings Island. In these leadership roles, he oversaw the development and launch of new entertainment offerings, produced major nighttime spectaculars, and played a key role in the successful return of Kings Island's beloved WinterFest event.

In 2017, Lance joined the Cedar Fair Corporate Entertainment team.  He led technical production for capital entertainment investments across the Cedar Fair portfolio of parks. His work included the return of parades to the chain and the development of new seasonal festivals, celebrations, major anniversary events.  He also oversaw the establishment and adoption of operational standards and best practices across the organization.

Following the 2024 merger of Cedar Fair and Six Flags, Lance continued in his role, supporting entertainment initiatives across the newly combined organization. His leadership expanded to include corporate oversight of parades, nighttime spectaculars, entertainment show control systems, and networked entertainment audio integration throughout all of the North American properties.

In 2026, Lance founded Renaissance Reason Entertainment to bring decades of world-class theme park entertainment experience directly to clients. 

Today, Renaissance REason Entertainment partners with parks, attractions, producers, and entertainment organizations across the United States.  It provides owner's representation, strategic planning, technical production leadership, operational consulting, and project management for live entertainment experiences across North America.
